I rebuilt the motor, and now she runs like a top. Don't miss out on this hard to find train. These seem to have motor issues. And you are buying on a great running 0647 with correct leads and correct whistle tender.

I had to check quite a few of my 0647 engines to find one that ran last time. These use a special control switch to activate the whistle, which has to be wired in line with the transformer. Here it is.

It does work. This one I had to bring back from the dead. Bad commutators on most so, not only does this one run like a champ, it also looks great.

This one might actually be nicer than the last one.

This one is for all of you who either missed out on the last few 0647 engines, or were holding out for better. It smokes awesome too. The e unit switches properly almost every time, but then again it has been sitting.

If that wan't enough, it comes with the correct whistle tender which, wait for it. And let me tell you, it was no picnic. That might be the most amazing part the whistle tender on these has an e unit in it.
