These are museum quality model's based on the specific prototype. These cars were so numerous, they were commonly seen on every railroad across the country from the 1970's through the 1990 's in this paint scheme. Most are still sealed from the factory. These model's represent part of a huge fleet of 50' plug door box cars in various door size combinations that the Sp and ssw have used since their delivery starting in the late 1960's.

If you model the Sp ssw, you can't have too many of these cars. This is an offer for a 6 car set of Athearn ready to roll 50' pc f hydra cushion 6' and 8' combination plug door box cars factory painted and lettered in their original cotton belt paint scheme.

Note please in addition to the 2 photos of the actual cars included in this offer, I also included 5 photos of an unpacked sister car not included in this offer in order to display the awesome detail of these cars. None of these cars is a duplicate. The trucks are free rolling and have metal wheel sets. The details are separately added, but durable, including door latch mechanisms, see through platforms, complete braking detail, and grabs ladders uncoupling bars.

They come with jade 5s from Athearn. These cars are no longer available from Athearn.
