The American Flyer tie car is next. Repair was very, very nicely done. Free shipping with. Otherwise, no issues.

Nice looking piece, solid e, one of the couplet springs has popped so it doesn't automatically center. Like many of those, this one has been nicely repaired and sits pretty straight considering. Next us a Wabash caboose. Pulling the consist is a Wabash Hudson in solid e condition.

Next is a mine carrier car, complete, nothing broken, nice condition, doesn't look like it has been used much, and as mentioned before, has the original control button. Following that one is a Mobil's tank car. Next is a Peabody coal company hopper.

Accessory items include a no. Activator mechanism, steps, couplets, etc are all fine. There is a chip out of one side of the top shown in the pics smoke cartridge empty in the original, complete with pipe cleaner and metal funnel. The flag marker is present on this one, but the brake wheel has left the piece with a souvenir of its base in the brake wheel hole.

Not perfect, but a nice example of the set box. This one needs some cleaning, especially on the inside of the hopper.

Last, but not least, a new haven gondola is part of the pack. What I don't have to include in this set is the activator track section that triggers the detonation. Pretty solid outer set box, all corners intact, small hole in the top of the box near the lower middle '.

Lettering is pretty solid, tough car regardless. Like just about every other one of these i've ever handled, this one suffered from having a warping metal weight that cracks the plastic.

2 of the 4 steps remain. The insert has some water staining on the right had side, and a couple of tears near some of the thinner parts, please see pictures for details.

RCA this one is missing 3 of the 4 steps. I see some very small scratches in the paint on the top of the roof, but they are minor. Also included are two plastic ties for the tie car, the control button for the mine carrier car, a 1 transformer, two straight sections of track, one straight retailer track, 2 curved track terminal sections, and 13 sections of curved track.

All steps are present, couplets are fine, and sharp lettering, again, just needs some attention on the cleaning detail. Printing and paint are great, but again, the step issue on this one pulls it down in condition.
